So. Saad Lamjared is a Moroccan singer who is nothing less than adorable, I’ll admit. But what happened over the span of the last couple of days is ridiculous. He became ridiculously famous around this region after his song ENTY went viral.

It’s a pretty good song, no joke!

Anyway. He was in Kuwait, or is still in Kuwait, for the opening of TFK in Hamra Mall. We has basically assaulted in the middle of the mall. There are a million videos going around of what happened and the swarm of girls (and guys) around him.

Here are some of them. Enjoy!

Poor man is probably traumatized. People need to learn how to not act in public and be civilized lol. Too funny!

This video came up on my news feed on Facebook, and I thought I would share it. We see modern day slavery everyday in Kuwait, and just because they come from third world countries, no one cares. Those people you disrespect everyday at restaurants, gas stations, on the streets, in the malls, in your own house, virtually everywhere, is someone’s family. That’s someone’s mother. Someone’s father.

Throw a piece of garbage on the floor then bend down and pick it up. Throw it again and pick it up again. Do that 10 times and see how good your back feels. Then imagine someone the age of your father or grandfather doing it for 12 hours a day 6 days a week for about 12 KD. Then being cramped into a room the size of you bathroom with 9 other people.

ElhamdilAllah, we’re so fortunate and blessed to have a roof over our heads and clothes on our backs. Respect one another. These people have left their entire life behind in search of a better life only to be treated like cattle.

So, this video was on the news the other day. Basically, it’s a heartless “teacher” beating his students with a ruler because they haven’t done their homework.

This, obviously, is illegal, and he’s been fired, and honestly should be burned alive. I’m sure there are still schools in the region where kids are beaten with a stick or what not. I just thought I should share this.

Not for the faint hearted!

I was sent this action shot from the Red Bull racing event that took place last weekend. I can see myself! Lemme know if you spot yourself, too! Amazing, amazing footage!

This weekend I was invited to witness first hand stunts, drifting, and intense rubber burning at the Infiniti Red Bull racing event. The day consisted of Carlos Sainz Jr., who tore up the streets (literally!) in a Formula 1 racing car sponsored by Infiniti, Abdo Feghali, a Lebanese drifter who currently holds the world record for the longest drift and is the Middle East Hill Climb Champion, and finally Chris Pfeiffer who left the crowd in awe at his amazingly executed stunts on his motorcycle.

A whopping 20,000 people showed up to the event to cheer on the athletes and feel the adrenalin rush! Gulf Road was closed from right before the Kuwait Towers in order for this event to take this place.

Carlos Sainz Jr. was so extremely fast that I couldn’t really get that many pictures of him. Here’s the best I could do under the circumstances. (Some of these photos were sent to me from Red Bull)

Last night, we had the honor of being invited to Cocoa/Cabana to try out their menu in Abu Halifa. The concept behind the restaurant is one of a kind, and virtually never heard of before!

IMG_0177

Everything in their menu has a mix of chocolate with their special sauce- even the burgers! You’ll find things on the menu like Caesar Salad with cookies, Nutella samboosak and other strange yet yummy mixtures!

The only downside, I would say, to the restaurant is that the food took way too long to arrive. It took about 2 hours for our burgers to arrive but when they finally did, it was evident what all the hype was about.

Overall, it was an amazing experience with amazing people and a beautiful atmosphere. There was a live saxophone player who entertained throughout the night, good food and enough chocolate to satisfy anyone’s cravings!
